I wish i was JB

to the tune of 'I wish i was James Bond', by Scouting for Girls
by Mark, James, Murray, Aidan and Matt / harriers a 2008
JB; Britain's finest Commodore; licensed to sail.
Mixing business with sails and thrills

I've seen you on the broads; it's you that I adore.
Since I was a boy I've wanted to be the commodore!
A boat in every port, and children up your sleeve.
The broads are not enough for the both of us it seems.

So I wish I was JB, just for the day.
Hitting all the banks, blow the cruiser men away.
And I wish I was JB, just for the day.
Hitting all the banks, blow the cruiser men away.

Hello JB, I've been expecting you.
Mainsail in your hand, and that tiller that you move.
Don't take this the wrong way,
I know it might sound odd.
For the next commodore,
I'm the right man for the job.

So I wish I was JB, just for the day.
Hitting all the banks, blow the cruiser men away.
And I wish I was JB, just for the day.
Hitting all the banks, blow the cruiser men away.

I've a license, I've a license, I've a license to sail.
I've a license, I've a license, I've a license to bail.
I've a license, I've a license, I've a license to sail.
I've a license, I've a license, I've a license to bail

I wanted to be you, I wanted to be you, I wanted to be commodore.
I wanted to be you, I wanted to be you, I wanted to be commodore.

So I wish I was a JB, just for the day.
Hitting all the banks, blow the cruiser men away.
And I wish I was a JB, just for the day.
Hitting all the banks, blow the cruiser men away.
And I wish I was a JB, just for the day.
Hitting all the banks, blow the cruiser men away.

We're moving to Norfolk

to the tune of 'We're moving to New York', by The Wombats
by Mark, James and Murray / harriers a 2008
We just had the craziest week,
Like a party bag of flies, food and then no sleep.
And I don't know why I wanted to come back this year,
It's therapeutic somehow.

So we're moving to Norfolk 'cos I've got problems with my gybe,
But we can-not sail and I feel that I should hide.
So we're moving to Norfolk 'cos I've got issues with my tack,
Looks like the Harriers went sailing, the Harriers went sailing again.

I make one tack forward and ended up thirty yards back.
Am I getting worse or do we simply need a snack?
Yeah, I don't know why I wanted to come back this year,
It's therapeutic somehow.

So we're moving to Norfolk 'cos I've got problems with my gybe,
But we can-not sail and I feel that I should hide.
So we're moving to Norfolk 'cos I've got issues with my tack,
Looks like the Harriers went sailing, the Harriers went sailing again.

Propella

to the tune of 'Umbrella' by Rhianna
by Mark, James, Aidan, Murray, Matt, Sam and John M / harriers a 2008
You had the helm
Thought you were in a different realm
Maybe in fantasy
You wouldn't have hitted me

So maybe you we in a dream
Didn't think skipper was so mean
That's when it all went wrong,
That's why we wrote this song...

Because!
When the boat gybes in stormy weather,
Told you I'd fly just like a feather
Even though I made a great big splash,
I really didn't mean to make you crash.
Now that it's raining more than ever,
You only worry about the weather
Jib-sheet's tangled in the propeller,
Jib-sheet's tangled in the propeller eller eller aye aye aye
Tangled in the propeller eller eller aye aye aye aye...

Now after you lost control,
I went and did a barrel roll.
Landed in the river bed,
And now you think I'm dead...

I tried to swim to the shrouds.
Underneath the darkening clouds,
You did a figure of eight,
But it was all too late!

[Accapella]
Because!
When the boat gybes in stormy weather,
Told you I'd fly just like a feather
Even though I made a great big splash,
I really didn't mean to make you crash.
Now that it's raining more than ever,
You only worry about the weather
Jib-sheet's tangled in the propeller,
Jib-sheet's tangled in the propeller eller eller aye aye aye
Tangled in the propeller eller eller aye aye aye aye...

[Normal]
